The Sevens playbook

Use the controls beside the game rather than guessing the rules. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. The game area remains available above the explanation. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.

Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.

Practice with a purpose

Check the rule below as you play. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end. Start a new round when you are ready to try again.

Understand the aim

Read the position before choosing your next action. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. The game area remains available above the explanation.

Start here and follow along

  1. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
  2. The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
  3. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
  4. Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
  5. The first player with an empty hand wins the round.

Making selections and moves

Take a moment to check the current turn. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled. Start a new round when you are ready to try again.

Work through an example

After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.

One detail worth checking

The board gives you the information needed for the next action. A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.
